Democracy Countdown

The things spelled out on this page is one of the reasons that our founding fathers gave us a republic rather than a democracy — to stop this cycle. We have denied the republic in favor of a democracy. That’s why we’re in trouble.

The reason why we made this change is that the electorate in America want people in office who are like themselves. Our founding fathers recommended that we only elect God fearing men to political office. We, as a people, have not feared God. We have elected scoundrel politicians, whom we know we can’t trust, rather than statesmen so we feel the need to wrest power back from them. As individuals, we want to be on the winning side, so we are willing to elect the so-called “lesser of two evils” rather than to risk having the greater of two evils elected. In the coming election, we must resist this tendency and elect only a Christian man of Christian character as President. We must also keep in mind that the President is not a dictator and that we must also elect people to Congress and to state houses who are God fearing, principled people.

The only way that this is going to happen is if the people of our nation, as individuals, turn back to God.

I thank God that there are godly men running for President this term. Nevertheless, I do not put my faith in them. My faith and my hope is “Thy kingdom, come; Thy will, be done on earth as it is in Heaven.”

RE: your comment”…godly men running…” I have a serious question about OBAMA being godly…in the Christian sense.
The authenticity of his so-called conversion to Christ is in serious doubt.
It may well have been a cover for his knowing he was to run for political office and he knew he could never get far, politically, as a MUSLIM!

Mike, I should have said some godly men running. I have no doubt about Obama being godly in the Christian sense — he’s not.
